Brief history of our company.

Bestway Contracting has been in business in its 26th year since 1993. Our resume includes developing large single-family homes, multi-family, and commercial. We are confident that our reliable network of staff, subtrades, and suppliers will be able to complete all jobs expediently. We also have years of history with providing asbestos removal services to many social housing communities and residents managed by the BC Housing Management Corporation and Metro Vancouver Housing Corporation all across the lower mainland.

Bestway Contracting is an experienced firm providing general construction and renovation services throughout the lower mainland. Bestway Contracting has a long-standing history of providing quality and expedient services to social housing units and large townhouse development projects throughout the Greater Vancouver region. Our reference clients can attest to our proven ability to tackle jobs from multi-phase building rehabilitation projects to time- sensitive restoration work—all while providing very competitive rates to all of our clients. Over the years our quality of workmanship and value we provide to all of our clients has caught the attention of many trades involved in the industry. We have a strong team of in-house technicians and apprentices specialized in different areas to complete projects of all types and sizes. Extensive manpower allows us to provide our cliental with prompt service and scheduling.

Our diversified and integrated team can complete any job efficiently without having to rely on sub- trades. Each building manager requiring this service would have to interface only with Bestway Contracting and not have to worry about any potential miscommunication with sub- trades. This in turn allows for less of a chance of delay and that the tenants will not be bothered any longer than what our schedule reads.

Company Structure

Bestway Contracting is divided in general into Project Mangers, Supervisors, Staff, and Corporate Administrators. Bestway Contracting project managers, and supervisors are certified for asbestos removal, lead removal, first-aid, and fall protection as part of our standard training renewed at regular intervals. Certificates would be furnished by Bestway Contracting upon request.

Company’s infrastructure as it relates to the provision of services.

Bestway Contracting has an exceptionally strong construction team base in the Lower Mainland. This allows us to quickly respond to customer calls without subcontracting and provide a site assessment within an incredibly short amount of time which can be attested by our references; we have been able to arrive on site within 24 hours of all jobs. Our construction team consists of staff with roles divided into project managers, safety officers, site supervisors, and site staff. Our streamlined project procedures have helped us in taking on projects and jobs of all sizes from $1,000 to over $3,000,000.

Bestway Contracting is committed to provide our quality service with all our cliental with acknowledgement of all service requests within 24 hours, and a written quote within 72 hours.

All deliveries and installations shall be pre-arranged and coordinated with cliental representative requiring the services. All materials shall be delivered to the installation site properly protected/wrapped.

All installation shall be completed utilizing experienced workers (certified where necessary), and shall be warranted for a minimum of 2 years.

All materials/product removed, new product packaging, extraneous materials and/or supplies required for delivery and installation shall be removed and legally disposed of by the successful Bestway Contracting immediately after installation. Use of our clientals waste bins on- site will not occur.

The process and timing Bestway Contracting follow to pull all required municipal and safety permits to ensure that all safety and building code regulations and inspections are met for the work and proper installation.

  1. Work Estimate Request

    When a client makes a request for service either by telephone or email, a project manager is assigned to perform on-site evaluation within 1 business day, or as otherwise requested by the customer. A written quote from Bestway Contracting typically includes work site, itemized breakdown of labour and parts, list of pre-existing damages, list of site

    hazards/risks (e.g. asbestos, lead, mold, flood damage), and whether if the residence is occupied.

  2. Servicing

    Once the estimate has been approved and signed by the client, our project manager will work with the work requester to schedule and arrange the applicable delivery and service in consideration of all required by-law permits, WorkSafeBC permits, and notices. A notice of entry is issued if the residence or impacted area is currently occupied.

    On the day(s) of service, our workers are clearly identified by worn company identification.

    Upon service completion, the work area is cleaned up and the work order is verified for completion. The project manager and requester is also notified that the work has been completed.

  3. Billing and Customer Service

    Invoices are issued for completed and verified services. Work requester can request for recall service if there is any dissatisfaction with work performed. Project manager or our staff returns to work site either same day or next business day to evaluate and perform remediation. All of our services are backed by 1-year warranty on labour, material, and workmanship.

Two projects Bestway Contracting undertook in the past that you regard as proof of competence, ingenuity and difficulty.

Bestway Contracting is capable of managing large projects which can range from 20 – 400 townhouses. The work consists of handling flooring, cabinetry, painting and various other trades for large development projects. Due to our experience of managing high volume work, we have been able to adjust our company structure to ensure all projects flow fluidly and deliver all work on time.

Zenith Development

This project consisted of building 72 townhouse units in Cloverdale, BC. Bestway Flooring was in charge of all aspects of interior finishing for this project. Such as, flooring, baseboard, painting, cabinetry, tiling, plumbing fixtures, electrical fixtures, railing and wall paper. Bestway Flooring had to coordinate with site supervisors to ensure completion of each unit was met before the intended deadline for the customer would receive their home in a timely manner.

SOHO

This contract was awarded to Bestway Contracting for managing the supplying, delivery and installation of flooring for 250 townhouse unit. Managing a project of such great volume while coordinating other projects for other cliental was achievable for Bestway FContracting as we arranged site supervisors who would meet with project managers on a weekly basis to schedule all work 4- 6 weeks in advance. This would lead to no delays with our scope of work when units for accessible for our trades.

University Hill

The project was given to us by Prospero Reality, we completed the renovation of 80 suites within 4 months in Squamish. This consisted of electrical work, plumbing, demo, painting, flooring, tiling, cabinetry, finishing & countertops.

Guarantees we provide for different types of work andinstallations. Our standard warranty policy covers:

  • 2-year warranty on labour, material and workmanship

  • 2-years warranty on hardware

  • 5-years warranty on cabinet lamination

    Additional manufacturer warranty is alsoapplicable.

Our office staff is reachable 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday excluding statutory holidays. If our staff is not available immediately, someone from our management team will respond to the client in a timely manner.

We are familiar with working with managed housing units and we understand that site managers may not always be available to sign-off at the project at the end of the day. We permit site managers to provide review and sign-off of work completed when their schedule permits the following day such that any deficiencies could be addressed expediently by our team.

How we address changes like extras not initially budgeted and unforeseen, bothfrom your perspective and the impact expected on the client’s cost.

For any additional or unforeseen charges, they are typically reported to our customers for approval through our project managers. A revised quote or additional quote would be issued to the client for approval. Bestway Contracting would make the best attempt to complete requested work within original scope. Bestway Contracting may be required to stop all further work in certain scenarios in certain scenarios such as the discovery of asbestos or mold where further work could not proceed without remediation.
